Qualifications

• 4+ years experience as a mechanic, with gas and diesel engines, brakes, suspension.
• Must have EVT or ASE Certifications and willingness to complete all required certs within the first year.
• Own set of basic automotive tools and a clean driving record.
• Comfortable working independently, managing multiple jobs, and documenting work.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands‑on diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance on ambulances and fleet vehicles.
• Troubleshoot and install specialty equipment (oxygen/medical air systems, radios, GPS, cameras).
• Assign and prioritize repair work for the team and provide guidance to mechanics.
• Respond to vehicle breakdowns and keep vehicles in service.
• Coordinate with dealers, specialty shops, and outside vendors as needed.
• Maintain maintenance records, parts inventory, and shop equipment.
• Lead a safe, well‑run shop and set a strong example for safety.
