Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• National certification as determined at position level.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider required.
• Current State Licensure as an EMT.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Active National Registry EMT within 1 year of hire.
• IV course completion certificate required upon hire.
• BLS/CPR card valid through start date.

Responsibilities

• Navigates and drives ambulance to and from scenes and treatment centers; stabilizes scene and requests additional assistance as needed.
• Determines nature and extent of illness or injury and patient history; administers emergency medical care within scope of practice, including stabilization, monitoring and resuscitation.
