Job summary

Our client, a leading Am Law 100 law firm, seeks a mid-level Commercial Litigation Associate (4-6 years) to join its Los Angeles office. This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated commercial disputes within a collaborative and nationally recognized litigation practice.

The successful candidate will take on significant responsibility handling complex matters, conduct legal research, draft briefs and motions, participate in depositions and hearings, and support trial preparation

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active California Bar membership in good standing.
• 4–6 years of commercial litigation experience.
• Prior law firm experience preferred.
• Strong research, writing, motion practice, and case management.
• Excellent analytical and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to take on significant client-facing responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all phases of complex commercial litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and prepare motions, briefs, memoranda, pleadings, and discovery documents.
• Develop case strategy and support litigation teams on complex disputes.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Manage litigation workstreams and case deadlines.
• Collaborate with partners, associates, clients, experts, and co-counsel.
• Support client counseling and case assessment efforts.
• Participate in business development initiatives, including client pitches, presentations, marketing efforts, and relationship-building activities.
