Job description

Amazon represents one of Smartliner's most significant strategic growth avenues, offering national reach, category visibility, and a direct path to new customers across automotive, powersports, and home. The Amazon Marketplace Manager owns the full operational health of Smartliner's Amazon business across both Vendor Central (1P) and Seller Central (3P), catalog and listing quality, brand content, inventory and fulfillment, and account health —converting Smartliner's fit-specific floor liner, UTV/powersports, and home mat lines into durable category leadership. This role partners closely with the Director of Marketing, who owns Amazon advertising strategy and spend, as well as with Catalog, Supply Chain, Product Development, and Creative.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage purchase-order acceptance and fill rates, cost and allowance negotiations, co-op and marketing development funds, chargebacks and shortage claims, and vendor operational performance; prepare for annual vendor terms negotiations.
Seller Central / FBA & FBM Operations
  • Own day-to-day Seller Central operations across FBA and FBM: inventory planning and replenishment, IPI score, inbound shipment management, and fulfillment workflows.
  • Define which SKUs run through Vendor vs. Seller Central based on margin, velocity, and control; manage the hybrid model to protect pricing and avoid channel conflict.
  • Maintain parent/child variation integrity and accurate year/make/model fitment across thousands of ASINs; partner with Catalog & Product Data to align listings with ACES/PIES data and resolve suppressions, stranded listings, and detail-page hijacks.
  • Serve as the point of resolution for listing-quality issues flagged by Customer Service or other teams, fixing root causes rather than one-off patches.
Brand Pages & A+ Content
  • Own A+ Premium content, Brand Store, and imagery standards in partnership with Content/Photography; keep brand pages current with new launches and seasonal merchandising.
  • Run structured listing tests (titles, images, bullet points) to lift conversion and review velocity.
  • Forecast FBA demand by SKU, manage IPI score, capacity limits, inbound shipments, and aged-inventory risk; coordinate replenishment with Supply Chain and warehouse to prevent stockouts on top movers.
Pricing & Brand Protection
  • Monitor Buy Box and MAP compliance; manage Brand Registry, unauthorized-seller and counterfeit enforcement, and IP claims.
Account Health
  • Own Vendor and Seller Central account health, policy compliance, case management, and escalations; maintain clean performance metrics and reimbursement recovery.
  • Monitor product reviews, ratings, and the A-to-z Guarantee/return-rate impact on account health.
Analytics & Reporting
  • Deliver weekly and monthly channel scorecards using Brand Analytics, Search Query Performance, and business reports, focused on catalog health, conversion, in-stock rate, and account standing. (Advertising performance is owned and reported separately by the Director of Marketing.)
  • Translate insights into action and new-product opportunity input for Product Development
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years managing a brand's Amazon business with hands-on experience in both Vendor Central and Seller Central.
  • Working knowledge of 1P terms: PO management, cost negotiations, co-op, chargebacks, and deductions recovery.
  • Strong command of flat files, variation structures, Brand Registry, FBA inventory management, and account-health remediation.
  • Advanced Excel/Sheets skills; comfortable building forecasts and pivot-driven analysis.
  • Organized, data-driven operator who can manage high SKU counts with precision and urgency.
PREFERRED
  • Automotive aftermarket or fitment-based catalog experience (ACES/PIES, year/make/model data).
  • Experience with Helium 10, Jungle Scout, or similar catalog/listing tools.
  • Exposure to Walmart.com, eBay, or Shopify marketplace operations.
SUCCESS MEASURES
  • In-stock rate on top SKUs, IPI score, and aged-inventory exposure.
  • 1P PO fill rate, chargeback and shortage-claim recovery, and net vendor margin.
  • Conversion rate, Buy Box percentage, average rating, and account-health status.
  • Listing accuracy and time-to-resolution on suppressions and CS-flagged issues.
