Job summary

Divergent is seeking an AM Service Engineer to maintain and enhance our additive manufacturing equipment across aerospace and automotive projects. You will own maintenance strategies, analyze equipment data, and implement improvements to maximize uptime and part quality.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, calibration, and collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams. A technical degree or equivalent experience is preferred, with a 4x10 shift schedule and a dynamic startup

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent maintenance technician experience
• Automation and machine control experience with troubleshooting capabilities
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair experience
• Hands-on work with additive technology in a factory environment
• Self-motivated, autonomous problem solving in a startup manufacturing environment
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical records and docs
• Proficient use of hand tools and test equipment
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to understand production constraints
• Interpersonal skills for collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams

Responsibilities

• Own the performance of additive manufacturing equipment, maximizing part quality and uptime
• Diagnose complex failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Analyze machine data to improve reliability and reduce downtime
• Develop maintenance procedures, calibration workflows, and operating standards
• Perform advanced calibration and system checks with independent judgment
• Improve PLC logic and automation interfaces to boost system performance
• Provide technical guidance to production, quality, and maintenance teams
• Interpret schematics and control architectures to solve problems and adhere to safety protocols
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for manufacturing capability and equipment reliability
• Create technical documentation and mentor technicians in applying best practices
