Job summary

Acadia Healthcare's Hamlet Comprehensive Treatment Center in Hamlet, NC seeks a dedicated LPN Dispensing Nurse to ensure safe, accurate medication dispensing for patients pursuing recovery from opioid use disorder. This full-time role supports the Medical Director and Clinic Director.

You will prep and administer medications under supervision, document patient progress, and maintain strict stock control and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Prefer 1 year of nursing experience in behavioral health, outpatient treatment program, or addiction recovery field.
• There must be no history of alcohol or other drug misuse for a period of three years before employment.

Responsibilities

• Works under the supervision of the Medical Director and the Clinic Director.
• Maintains nursing professional standards of care.
• Prepares and administers medication as ordered by the Medical Director or Program Physician accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintains accurate accounting of all medication received and dispensed.
• Charts medication administration in nurse's notes accurately and in a timely manner.
• Documents nursing care provided and maintains records related to patient progress and activities accurately.
• Responsible for safekeeping of all medication stock and required records.
• Dedicate 90% of scheduled hours to medication administration; remaining 10% to other duties.
• Responsible for urine collection and processing and related forms.
