Job summary

Shaner Hotels, Hotel Celare in Cincinnati, seeks a server to provide friendly table service in our vibrant restaurant and bar. You will take orders, serve food and beverages, handle payments, and help maintain a welcoming dining area in line with hotel standards.

Preferred candidates have at least one year in a public-facing role, good English, possibly Spanish, and a ServSafe or food safety background to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in a similar position dealing with the public.
• Minimum state age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
• High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred.
• ServSafe and/or food safety training.
• Alcohol awareness training (such as TIPS).
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders, retrieve, and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages, and food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently.
• Collect payments. Also assists in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment.
