Job summary

The Portland Regency Hotel & Spa in Portland, Maine is seeking a Part-Time AM Server to join our Food & Beverage team. Morning shift 6:30 AM–2:00 PM, Monday-Thursday with flexibility to pick up additional shifts.

The AM Server greets guests, takes orders, and serves meals, ensuring a positive dining experience while supporting teammates and adhering to Maine liquor laws and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• TIPS Certification required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
• Monitor order timing and ensure prompt, accurate service.
• Deliver food and beverages to guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties.
• Restock service items throughout the shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the outlet.
• Support fellow servers, hosts, food runners, and supervisors.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate to management when needed.
• Follow all Maine liquor laws and hotel safety procedures.
• Assist with training new team members as needed.
