Le Meridien Washington D.C., The Madison Hotel is seeking a FT AM Room Attendant to join our Housekeeping Team. The role maintains the cleanliness and organization of guest rooms and provides prompt, courteous service to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

AM shifts include weekends and holidays. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in a fast-paced environment, and communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Able to scrub and scour surfaces and lift up to 100 lbs as needed.
• Willing to pitch in and help coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Clean bathrooms, rooms, and surfaces to standard.
• Make beds and change linens as required.
• Dust and wipe furniture, window ledges, and shelves.
• Restock amenities, linens, and supplies in guest rooms.
• Manage room keys and restock heavy service cart.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns.

Le Meridien Washington D.C., The Madison Hotel is looking for a FT - AM Room Attendant to join our amazing Housekeeping Team! AM shifts including weekends and holidays. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the guest rooms while providing prompt, courteous service to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending, and stooping.
• Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.
• Strip beds and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 50 lbs.
• Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.
• Push and pull vacuum throughout the entire room and empty trash.
• Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room.
• Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart.
• Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Must have the ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extend arms over head to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces.
• Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
• Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
