Job summary

Le Meridien Washington D.C., The Madison Hotel is seeking a FT - PM Room Attendant to join our Housekeeping Team. PM shifts include weekends and holidays, and you will maintain guest room cleanliness with prompt, courteous service to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

You must be able to communicate in English, work as part of a team, and handle cleaning tasks including bathrooms, beds, and high-traffic areas.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to communicate in English.
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Able to scrub and scour surfaces, extend arms overhead to clean, and work in confined spaces.
  • Willing to pitch in and help coworkers as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of cleaning equipment.
  • Able to push/pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Able to adapt communication style to different audiences.
  • Available to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Clean bathrooms, keep rooms pristine and organized.
  • Strip beds and change linens as required.
  • Dust furniture, pictures, and shelves.
  • Operate vacuum and empty trash.
  • Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest rooms.
  • Handle keys, retrieve rooms, and restock carts.
  • Inspect rooms for cleanliness and notify completion.
  • Adhere to attendance rules and perform other duties as assigned.

Overview

Le Meridien Washington D.C., The Madison Hotel is looking for a FT - PM Room Attendant to join our amazing Housekeeping Team! PM shifts including weekends and holidays. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the guest rooms while providing prompt, courteous service to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending, and stooping.
  • Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.
  • Strip beds and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 50 lbs.
  • Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.
  • Push and pull vacuum throughout the entire room and empty trash.
  • Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room.
  • Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart.
  • Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Must be willing to “pitch‑in” and help co‑workers with their job duties and be a team player.
  • Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
