Job description

This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all dishware and equipment, and completing general routine cleaning tasks. Adheres to all health regulations, and follows CSM high standards of quality to ensure guest satisfaction.

1. Maintains the dish machine, ensuring minimum temperature requirements are maintained.
2. Cleans the dishwasher, changes the water based on usage, and cleans curtains and traps.
3. Air dries dishes as needed to ensure no spots, and ensures proper storage (not stored wet).
4. Inspects dishes being washed and re-washes as necessary.
5. Responsible for removal of trash, breaking down boxes, scheduled cleaning, and maintaining floors.
6. Completes deep cleaning projects, quarterly power sprays the kitchen, and may clean other areas such as the associate break room.
7. Responds to varying levels of business to meet internal and external customer needs.
8. Assists team members within and outside the department to ensure guest needs are met.
9. Uses all equipment properly and safely.
10. Adheres to cost controls to reduce expenses and waste.
11. Monitors use of chemicals to reduce costs and helps prevent breakage during washing and storage.
12. Maintains a clean and safe work environment in compliance with regulations.
13. Operates all equipment following safety procedures.
14. Follows procedures for guest and associate incidents.
15. Knows hotel emergency procedures.
16. Plans, organizes, and prioritizes work to meet volume requirements.
17. Adheres to attendance, grooming, appearance standards, and work rules.
18. Attends all required meetings.
19. Assists with banquet plating, food prep, and other duties as needed.
20. Supports other areas as required.

**Education:** Some high school coursework required.

**Physical Requirements:** Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; capable of walking, standing, bending, and moving continuously throughout the shift.
