Job summary

Jackson Ridge in Maquoketa, IA is seeking a part-time cook for the AM shift to support our resident meals program. You will prepare and serve meals according to planned menus and dietary orders, with attention to quality and safety.

The role is entry-level, requires High School Diploma/GED and English proficiency; prior hospital or skilled nursing experience is a plus but not required. Join our friendly team and help provide nourishing meals daily.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English clearly.
• Able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• One-year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility or other related medical facility preferred, but not required.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm as well as be willing to handle residents.
• Able to sit, stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during working hours.
