Job summary

Haven of Tuscola is seeking a dedicated Cook for the Part-Time PM Shift to prepare and serve residents’ meals according to menus and dietary guidelines while keeping a clean, safe kitchen in line with facility policies.

You will collaborate with the dietary team, follow safety standards and assist with tray lines and meal delivery, supporting overall dietary operations. Weekend/holiday availability is helpful; prior healthcare cooking experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to work collaboratively with the dietary team
• Must be able to work scheduled hours, including some weekends and holidays
• Previous cook experience in a healthcare environment preferred
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve residents’ daily meals
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and work areas
• Assist with tray line setup and meal delivery
• Work in dish room and support overall dietary operations
• Follow all facility, OBRA, Federal, State, and regulatory guidelines

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Cook to join our dietary team on a Part-Time PM Shift. The ideal candidate will prepare and serve meals according to menus and dietary guidelines while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment in accordance with facility policies and state and federal regulations.
