Job summary

UC San Diego Advancement seeks a Director, Alumni Advancement to lead revenue-generating programs and strategic engagement with high-value alumni and constituents. You will guide moves-management fundraising, partnership development, and program operations across Alumni Relations within Advancement.

The role reports to the AVC, AR, and drives a high-capacity portfolio, building pride, leadership, and lifelong connections with UC San Diego alumni and supporters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience / training.
• Expert knowledge of campus, its vision, mission and strategic plans.
• Expert knowledge of alumni, constituents and fundraising basics.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven ability to drive revenue and strategic engagement with high-value alumni.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to advance Alumni Relations and fundraising strategies.
• Oversee operations, budget planning and reporting for Alumni Relations.
• Develop and maintain a portfolio of high-capacity alumni prospects.
• Collaborate with Advancement colleagues to align programs with campus priorities.
• Drive moves-management fundraising and donor stewardship activities.
