Job summary

Boyd Thermal by Eaton in Lancaster, PA seeks a Welder to set up and operate Manual TIG welding on aluminum parts per blueprints and specifications. You will read and interpret weld instructions, perform tack-welds, inspect finished work, and maintain a clean, safe work area while supporting cross-training across manufacturing.

Ideal candidates have solid welding experience, able to read calipers/micrometers, and commit to quality workmanship with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school or GED or technical diploma preferred.
• 5+ years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Welding certificate preferred.
• Proficient in accurate use of micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools.
• Ability to read/set tolerances from blueprints.
• Ability to set-up and operate Welding machine.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Manual TIG welder to weld aluminum components per specifications.
• Follow weld instructions and complete projects based on blueprints.
• Perform tack-welds to join metal pieces at specified distances.
• Inspect and record quality of finished parts.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and comply with safety policies.
• Cross-train across manufacturing facility as needed.
