Job summary

Bonnell Aluminum is seeking an Extrusion Operator for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.; 40+ hours). Training on 1st shift (7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) may be scheduled as needed.

You will load ovens, monitor scrap, operate the stretcher and saw, and ensure parts meet specs while maintaining a clean, safe workspace. You must read a tape measure, operate an overhead crane, drive a forklift, and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Must be able to read and understand a tape measure.
• Must be able to operate an overhead crane and drive a forklift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must read and understand shop orders.

Responsibilities

• Loading and starting Age Ovens Unload Age Ovens
• Operator an Overhead Crane
• Monitoring and removing press scrap
• Staging Racks
• Loading metal and spacers
• Stretcher OperationVisually monitoring parts for over-stretch or under-stretch conditions
• Saw Operation
• Must be able to read and understand a tape measure
• Assist other personnel and perform other duties as required per supervisor.
• Inform the Supervisor of any equipment problems or any other problems.
• Work in a safe manner always wearing all required Proper Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free workstation.
• Able to participate in a collaborative environment.
• Comply with safety policies and procedures.
• Accepts feedback from the Team Captain to ensure the bundles meet safety standards.
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
