Job summary

Ellwood Aluminum is seeking a Casting Operator to support aluminum casting operations. You will prepare the casting area, maintain the cast, collect samples, and assist other departments while working around molten metal with full PPE.

The role offers day or night shifts on a rotating schedule, opportunities for overtime, and wage ranges from $17.50 to $25.00 per hour, with training for newcomers and merit increases for crossing training.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Pass physical test and background screening.
• Able to work day or night shifts.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to cross train.

Responsibilities

• Organize and clean the casting area and maintain equipment.
• Set up pre-cast operations per casting requirements.
• Inspect casting setup for correct operation and quality.
• Collect metal samples and deliver for testing.
• Replace drain pans and set up for continuous operation.
• Operate remote crane as required.
• Perform minor tooling repairs and cleaning.
• Monitor casts for defects and report issues.
