Job summary

Pennex is hiring a Production Worker for the Wellsville, PA location. You will operate and maintain equipment used in aluminum casting, prepare molds, pour molten aluminum, and perform quality checks in a high-temperature, fast-paced environment.

Night shifts are 7pm–7am with rotating weekends. Pay starts at $18.87 per hour and is based on experience. A pre-employment physical and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Clear residual aluminum left over from the previous cast from distribution pan, transfer nozzles, mold assemblies and other spots around the casting unit.
• Paint distribution pan, filter bowl and transfer troughs with a mixture of bone ash and water.
• Sands and paints mold assemblies.
• Preheats and dries trough, filter bowl and distribution pan until ready to start cast.
• Aligns started blocks by ensuring spool is centered in mold.
• Manually adjusts starter blocks as needed.
