Job summary

Atkore in Cartersville, GA is seeking a Welder for the 2nd shift (4:00pm-12:30am, Monday-Friday) to weld aluminum cable trays and support lean manufacturing initiatives.

Responsibilities include setup and operation of welding machines, interpreting drawings, fabricating to blueprints, and adhering to safety practices. Candidates should have 6+ months welding experience, read a tape measure, and be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs; technical welding certificate preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ months welding experience.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical School Welding Certificate preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate welding machines.
• Read and interpret drawings/blueprints to fabricate parts.
• Fabricate per customer specifications adhering to requirements.
• Maintain safety controls and PPE; participate in safety program.
