Job summary

Zipline designs, manufactures, and operates autonomous delivery systems. As the Senior ECAD Library & Engineering Data Engineer, you will own Zipline's Altium component library and help build standards, workflows, and automation that keep hardware data accurate across engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and service.

This hands-on role requires creating library content, cleaning legacy data, and enabling engineers to find and reuse approved parts, with onsite collaboration in

Qualifications

• Experience in ECAD library management and data governance.
• Hands-on with Altium Designer and Altium Vault.
• Knowledge of IPC-7351 and PCB fabrication principles.
• Experience with EBOM/AML/AVL data and part requests.

Responsibilities

• Own the Altium component library structure, standards, and daily operation.
• Create and release production-quality schematic symbols, footprints, 3D models.
• Verify models against manufacturer data including pinout and land patterns.
• Define templates, lifecycle states, and review criteria.
• Audit and clean up library data while preserving traceability.
• Own the new-part request process from intake to release.
• Review parts for duplicates, sourcing risk, and lifecycle status.
• Help define part-number classification across hardware.
• Establish source-of-truth rules across ECAD/PLM/ERP.
• Improve EBOM quality and downstream synchronization.
• Build scripts, dashboards, and APIs for validation and cleanup.
• Train engineers on component selection and release expectations.
