Job summary

PIMCO is seeking an Alternatives Investment Operations Intern for a 10-week summer program, based at our New York City office or Newport Beach HQ.

You will support trade settlement, data integrity, cross-functional coordination, and process improvements, with exposure to AI-powered tools from day one.

Eligibility includes pursuing an undergraduate degree, ability to start full-time between Jan 2028 and Aug 2028, and enrollment in Fall 2027 at an accredited university.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree and enrolled for Fall 2027 semester.
• Able to start full-time employment at a PIMCO office between Jan 2028 and Aug 2028.
• Business proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Trade Support & Settlement: assist with trade execution, settlement, and lifecycle events.
• Asset Onboarding & Data Integrity: setup and validate assets and reference data.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: work with PM, Legal, Compliance, Finance and custodians.
• Process Improvement & Controls: contribute to efficiency, controls and scalability.
