Job summary

PIMCO is seeking an Alternatives Investment Operations Intern for our Newport Beach, CA headquarters. You will support the trade lifecycle, onboarding data, and cross-functional coordination across teams, gaining hands-on experience with AI-powered tools from day one.

The 10-week program runs early June to mid-August. Eligible students must be pursuing an undergraduate degree and available for the full duration, with a competitive stipend and relocation bonus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree.
• Must be able to begin full-time employment from a PIMCO office between January 2028 - August 2028.
• Must be enrolled at a university during Fall 2027 semester (August 2027 - December 2027).
• Minimum 3.2 GPA (4.0 scale) at an accredited 4-year college.
• Business proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Support trade execution, settlement, and lifecycle events for alternatives transactions across debt, private equity, real estate, and other non-traditional assets.
• Assist with setup, maintenance, and validation of alternative investment assets and related data.
• Collaborate with Portfolio Management, Legal, Compliance, Finance, custodians, and partners to resolve operational issues.
