Job summary

PIMCO's Summer Internship for Private Strategies Analysts in New York, NY offers a 10-week stint focusing on private credit, special situations, and distressed debt investments. Interns work with Portfolio Managers, perform financial modeling, and learn to source and underwrite opportunities.

Qualifications

Pursuing an undergraduate degree and able to start full-time between January 2028 and August 2028.
Must be enrolled Fall 2027 and maintain at least a 3.2 GPA.
Business proficiency in English; strong interest in financial markets.
Experience in research and basic financial modeling; capable of presenting ideas clearly.
Proactive, credible communicator with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Support direct lending and private strategies investments through financial modeling and qualitative analysis.
Assist with sourcing, evaluating, underwriting and managing investments.
Collaborate with Portfolio Managers and senior colleagues on investment ideas.
Gain hands-on experience with AI-powered tools from day one and participate in mentorship programs.
