Job summary

Advocate Health's Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Patient Transport team in Wilkes County is seeking an ALS Paramedic to support a 2-2-3 rotating schedule on the day shift (7am–7pm) at the Wilkes ALS Base. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week with benefits eligible.

You will provide patient-centered care, rapid assessment, and emergency interventions within scope, while documenting in the EMR and collaborating with the ED team.

Qualifications

• Paramedic certification from an accredited program.
• Three years of Emergency Service experience preferred.
• BCLS and state OEMS EMT-P certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and rapid evaluation of life‑threatening emergencies.
• Collaborates with nursing and medical teams to set treatment goals.
• Maintains patient privacy and professional conduct in all interactions.
• Documents medications and care in the Electronic Medical Record.
• Promotes safety, teamwork, and adherence to standards of care.
