Qualifications

• Paramedic certification required, or an A.A.S. in paramedic studies or equivalent.
• Three years of Emergency Service experience preferred.
• BCLS and state OEMS EMT-P certification required.
• ACLS or PALS may be required within one year in select areas.
• Maintains certification through approved OEMS education provider.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care focused on physical, emotional, and environmental needs.
• Rapid evaluation of life-threatening emergencies and collaboration with the care team.
• Document medications and treatments in the Electronic Medical Record.
• Ensure patient privacy, safety, and professional conduct in all interactions.
• Act as patient advocate and promote optimal patient flow in the ED.
