Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an AirCare ALS Paramedic for the Wilkes Base to provide high-quality pre-hospital care and triage for diverse patient populations, from infants to the elderly. You will operate advanced equipment under medical director guidelines, documenting care and ensuring readiness of all transport equipment.

Requirements include EMT-Paramedic training, NC Paramedic certification, BLS, ACLS/PALS for orientation, and a valid driver’s license with insurability for Advocate AirCare

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited EMT-Paramedic training program.
• North Carolina Paramedic certification required.
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS required to complete orientation.
• Two (2) years of paramedic experience, including one (1) year of active field pre-hospital experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable to drive AirCare vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional care through high-quality assessment, triage, and treatment.
• Operate autonomously outside of hospital under approved protocols.
• Use advanced skills and equipment to care for patients of all ages (infants–geriatric).
• Document care thoroughly in the EHR and obtain necessary signatures.
• Maintain ambulance readiness and ensure equipment is in working order.
