Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a paramedic in the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Emergency Department. The role focuses on rapid assessment and delivery of emergency care within a dynamic, high-stress environment. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement therapies, ensure patient safety, and document care in the EMR.

Requirements include paramedic certification or A.A.S. in paramedic studies and BCLS; ACLS/PALS may be required. Weekend rotations and holiday coverage apply.

Qualifications

• Paramedic certification or A.A.S. in paramedic studies or equivalent.
• Three years of Emergency Service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient/family centered care across physical, emotional, spiritual and environmental needs.
• Rapid evaluation of life-threatening emergencies and implementation of prescribed therapies.
• Collaborate with nursing and medical teams to establish treatment goals.
• Maintain patient privacy and a respectful environment; promote safe, healing care.
• Communicate effectively to ensure information sharing across the continuum of care.
