Job summary

Wyoming High Country Lodge in the Bighorn Mountains seeks a skilled Chef/Lodge professional for a full-time, seasonal role (Dec 2026 – Apr 1, 2027). Lead the kitchen, plan menus, order food, manage budget, and prepare upscale casual meals for 20–30 guests in a remote alpine setting.

You’ll work with a small team, assist with lodge operations, guest interactions, check-ins, reservations, and dining room upkeep.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a chef or strong culinary background.
• Experience with menu planning, food ordering, and budgeting.
• Knowledge of dietary restrictions and SERV Safe certification.
• Previous hospitality experience strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Friendly, energetic, customer service–oriented attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Physically fit and able to be on your feet for most of the day.
• Must have a reliable personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Preparing breakfast and dinner (5:30am–9:30am and 4:00pm–7:30pm).
• Preparing sandwiches for guest lunches during breakfast prep (approx. 45 minutes).
• Menu planning, food ordering, and maintaining organized food storage.
• Managing all aspects of kitchen cleanliness, dishwashing, and food safety.
• Accommodating dietary restrictions.
• Assisting with guest services including check-in/check-out, reservations, and communication via phone/email.
• Maintaining cleanliness of main dining room after meals are served.
