Job summary

You will develop funding strategies, analyze interest-rate risk, and support senior leadership with practical, data-driven insights across Credigy and NBC, gaining exposure to a broad spectrum of investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
• 4–7 years of relevant professional experience in treasury, ALM, or related quantitative finance discipline.
• Working knowledge of fixed income concepts such as duration, PV, yield curves, and interest rate sensitivity.
• Strong financial and quantitative analytical skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Ability to translate quantitative analysis into practical recommendations.
• Desire to understand investments and financial markets Credigy operates in.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Support development of funding strategies for new and existing investments, incl. tenor, structure, timing, and rate sensitivity.
• Collaborate with Investments and Credit teams to identify funding risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Assess and recommend Funding Risk Ratings for transactions.
• Analyze interest rate risk across balance sheet using metrics (EVE, NII, DV01).
• Perform scenario/sensitivity analyses on rate, asset performance, and prepayments.
• Support IRRBB analyses for NBC reporting to the OSFI.
• Develop and maintain financial models and reporting tools for funding decisions.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses on rates, investments, and funding initiatives.
• Collaborate with NBC colleagues on funding and ALM matters.
• Prepare analyses for senior management with clear insights.
