Job summary

Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College is seeking an Academic Pathways Support Specialist (Allied Health) for the SIP grant-funded initiative in Logan, WV. This full-time role supports students through prerequisite coursework, admissions, progression, clinical prep, and credentialing, coordinating with faculty and services to boost persistence and completion.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Allied Health or related field; Master’s preferred, valid driver's license, and 3+ years

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Allied Health, Education, Counseling, Student Services, Workforce Development, or related field.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Allied Health credentials relevant to discipline preferred.
• 3+ years of remediation and student coaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive academic and student-success support for allied health students.
• Develop individual success plans and monitor progress.
• Coordinate services with faculty, advisors, and partners to remove barriers.
• Document contacts, interventions, and outcomes in required systems.
• Support grant requirements and institutional policies.
