Job summary

SENTA ENT and Allergy Physicians in Columbia, SC, seeks an Allergy Technician to support allergy care, perform tests, administer immunotherapy, and educate patients under physician supervision.

Ideal candidates have attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, SC certifications (MA or LPN as applicable), CPR/BLS, and experience in clinical/outpatient settings; EHR proficiency required; benefits include health, HSA, FSA, PTO.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred (required for South Carolina).
• Active LPN license and unrestricted license in the state of practice required.
• CPR Certification preferred (BLS required for South Carolina).
• Previous clinical or outpatient experience, preferably ENT or Allergy.
• Proficient in using electronic health records systems and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform allergy testing, including skin prick, intradermal, and patch tests.
• Administer allergy immunotherapy injections and sublingual treatments.
• Prepare and mix allergen extracts per physician protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including test results and treatment plans.
• Educate patients on testing procedures, treatment plans, and allergy management.
• Monitor for adverse reactions and provide appropriate care as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment and infection control compliance.
• Order and manage inventory of allergy testing and treatment supplies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare team for coordinated care.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
