Job summary

NBU is seeking an Emergency Management Coordinator in New Braunfels, TX, to lead and sustain a comprehensive all-hazards program within a public utility environment. You will bridge Control Center operations, field response, regulatory requirements, and executive decision-making during emergencies.

The role focuses on developing plans, coordinating training, and aligning practices with FEMA, NIMS, ERCOT, and other standards, ensuring preparedness and coordinated response.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and continuous improvement of all-hazards Emergency Management Program for electric, water, and wastewater operations.
• Develop, maintain, and update Emergency Operations Plans (EOP), COOP, and response procedures.
• Identify and prioritize operational risks and vulnerabilities; integrate mitigation into planning.
• Coordinate ICS integration and emergency management practices with regulatory frameworks (FEMA, NIMS, ERCOT, TCEQ, PUCT, AWIA).
• Create SOPs, playbooks, and training to ensure consistent emergency response across departments.
• Coordinate with Control Center and field teams during emergencies to ensure real-time situational awareness.
