Job summary

Sugaright in Dallas is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep a busy manufacturing facility running safely and efficiently. You will diagnose and repair equipment across the plant with minimal supervision, taking ownership of the upkeep of production machinery, utilities, and fleet assets.

The role requires reading manuals, schematics, and work orders, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and documenting work orders and daily activities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Strong electrical experience; industrial certifications or apprenticeships preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and communicate effectively with operations.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment, including electric motors, pumps, valves, dryers, and electrical devices.
• Preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, utilities, and mobile assets (forklifts, loaders, semis, trailers).
• Diagnose electrical issues and safely replace motors, components, and controls.
• Perform forklifts and heavy equipment PMs, including battery maintenance and hydraulic hose repair.
• Support plant utilities and facility systems (boilers, air compressors, HVAC, water systems).
• Follow GMP, SQF, sanitation, and food safety standards during maintenance in production areas.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders to complete repairs efficiently.
• Complete work orders, PM documentation, and daily activity reporting.
• Work independently with limited supervision while communicating with operations and leadership.
