Job summary

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting a diverse South Dakota operation in seeking an experienced Equipment Operator. The role requires farm/ranch equipment operation across seasons, including plant and harvest equipment, plus winter feeding and bale processing.

The ideal candidate is versatile with farming, agronomy, and livestock activities, and can adapt to backgrounding and cow/calf duties as needed. Location is outdoors and remote with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current crop production experience in small grains, hay, and/or row crops.
• Agronomy skills would be a huge plus to go with spray application skills.
• Strong understanding of Precision, Mapping, and Prescription Farming a plus, ability to learn is a must.

Responsibilities

• Operate farm/ranch equipment including plant and harvest equipment during the year and assist with feeding and bale processing during winter.
• Assist with backgrounding and cow/calf operation; be flexible with skill set to fit needs.
• Work mostly outdoors with farming operation, agronomy, and equipment operation; support with related tasks as needed.
