Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
• 1–2 years classroom experience, urban education preferred.
• Valid and active Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate.
• Ability to obtain Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check Clearance (Act34), Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act151), FBI (Act114), and Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure (Act168) before starting work on campus.
• Commitment to equity, collaboration and growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and educational goals.
• Create a supportive and engaging classroom environment that promotes student learning and participation.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and instructional methods.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and school administrators.
• Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
• Execute school-wide duties in accordance with school rules and procedures.
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
• Participate in department, school, district and parent meetings.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
