Job summary

Bond Health is seeking a dynamic High School Mathematics Teacher (Algebra/Geometry) to educate grades 9-11 in an urban charter setting. The role focuses on Algebra I, II and Geometry, with emphasis on rigorous instruction and student growth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong math content background, NYS certification, and experience maximizing student achievement through differentiated strategies and data-driven planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or related field.
• Valid New York State teaching certification in Mathematics (7-12).
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an urban school setting.
• Strong content knowledge in Algebra and Geometry.
• Demonstrated success in raising student achievement.
• Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using technology to enhance instruction.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging mathematics instruction aligned with New York State Learning Standards and Common Core Standards for Algebra and Geometry.
• Create and maintain a positive, structured learning environment that supports students' academic and social-emotional development.
• Develop and implement rigorous lesson plans with differentiated instruction.
• Use data-driven instruction to assess student progress and adjust teaching methods.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure curriculum delivery and share best practices.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and department meetings.
• Support school-wide initiatives and contribute to the school community.
