Job summary

A3 Technology, Inc. seeks a Weather Camera Systems Engineer to support FAA weather camera infrastructure nationwide from Anchorage, AK.

The role blends systems engineering with hands-on fieldwork to ensure real-time weather data supports aviation safety. You will design, implement, and sustain camera installations across remote locations, develop EDIPs, conduct site surveys, and coordinate with stakeholders for successful deployment and acceptance.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/equivalent with 12+ years of experience or higher degrees with commensurate experience.
• US citizenship or eligibility to work in the US is required; government clearance will be pursued.
• Experience with weather camera/infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Ability to obtain FAA public trust clearance/suitability.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for FAA Weather Camera Program design, implementation, and modernization.
• Develop and maintain Engineering Design and Installation Packages (EDIPs) for camera installations.
• Perform analyses to ensure operational, environmental, and reliability requirements.
• Coordinate site surveys and evaluations for new installations or upgrades.
• Produce site surveys reports with findings and recommendations.
• Coordinate with FAA, property owners, utilities, and stakeholders for planning and execution.
• Support site acquisition, lease coordination, and installation testing/acceptance.
• Create final project documentation and engineering drawings.
