Job summary

Denali Universal Services in Alaska seeks dependable Food Service Workers to support remote camp kitchen operations. You will assist cooks with food prep, sanitation, dishwashing, and dining area upkeep, while adapting to 12-hour shifts on a rotational schedule.

Housing and meals are included, with flights between Anchorage and the job site arranged and paid for. This role requires safety discipline, teamwork, and the ability to live in camp accommodations on a sustained rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Alaska Food Worker Card or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Speak and understand English.
• Ability to work rotational schedules with extended time away from home.
• Ability to live in a camp or dormitory-style setting, including sharing a room if required.
• Reliable access to a smartphone capable of running apps for scheduling, timekeeping, shift communications, and time-off requests.
• Must pass pre-employment screening (drug test, criminal background check, and a post-offer fitness for duty test).

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation, washing, chopping, portioning, and serving food.
• Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining areas, and food storage spaces.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
• Assist with meal setup, service, and breakdown.
• Stock supplies and help with inventory as directed.
• Dispose of trash and recyclables according to camp procedures.
• Follow company safety policies and North Slope camp rules.
• Follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
• Support other kitchen or camp service duties as assigned.
