Welcome Center Specialist with JVC Northwest in Alaska supports newly arrived refugees and immigrants through RAIS, organizing cultural orientation, job readiness and health access workshops, empowering youth and adults to navigate life in Anchorage with confidence.

You will help with job searches, resume development, and documentation in Apricot Case Management, coordinating with interpreters and volunteers to prepare sessions and celebrate diverse cultures.

Responsabilités

• Open and operate the Welcome Center, ensure space is clean and ready for workshops.
• Facilitate job readiness workshops and cultural orientation sessions.
• Assist clients with job applications, resumes, and income verification for case management.
• Document all services provided in the Apricot Case Management system.
• Coordinate with interpreters and volunteers for upcoming sessions.
• Support planning of community celebrations or events that honor diverse cultures.
