Job summary

SLR Consulting (Americas) invites applications for a Project Environmental Scientist/Engineer to join the Alaska Land and Water Group. You will contribute to site investigation, environmental assessment, and remediation efforts across Alaska, with opportunities to grow your technical expertise in a supportive, multi-disciplinary team.

The role involves fieldwork, data interpretation, and active participation in monitoring programs, travel to remote locations, and collaboration with regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Geology, Hydrogeology, Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 3–7 years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willing to commit to field assignments up to two weeks away from home offices (Anchorage or Fairbanks).
• Ability to travel by car, plane, helicopter, or vessel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in data interpretation and preparation of site work plans, figures, and reports.
• Coordinate groundwater monitoring programs and field activities.
• Prepare site maps, conceptual models, and technical documents.
• Support permitting, compliance, and regulatory tasks.
