Job summary

SLR Consulting (Americas) is seeking a Staff Environmental Scientist/Engineer to join the Alaska Land and Water Group. The role covers site investigation, environmental assessment, site remediation, and active treatment system design with travel to field locations across Alaska.

The position offers professional growth in site investigation, waste management, permitting, compliance, and air quality, and requires up to two weeks away from the home office with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist in data interpretation and preparation of site work plans, datasets, figures, and technical reports.
• Coordinate groundwater monitoring programs (quarterly to annual events).
• Assist with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and permit/public records tasks.
• Communicate with project managers, subcontractors, regulators, tenants, and clients during field activities.
