Job summary

SLR Consulting (Americas) seeks an Environmental Scientist/Engineer to join the Alaska Land and Water Group. You will support site investigation, environmental assessment, and site remediation with travel across Alaska, designing treatment systems and contributing to permitting and compliance efforts.

You will work on data interpretation, report writing, and field sampling, collaborating with project managers and regulatory agencies, with strong growth opportunities and a competitive

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Geology, Hydrogeology, Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 3 to 7 years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willing to commit to field assignments up to two weeks away from home (Anchorage or Fairbanks).
• Ability to travel by car, plane, helicopter, or motor vessel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in data interpretation and preparation of site work plans, spreadsheets, figures, and technical reports.
• Compliance with and assessment of environmental regulations.
• Assist with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and public records requests.
• Coordinate groundwater monitoring programs and maintenance of monitoring equipment.
• Prepare site maps and communicate with project managers, regulatory agents, and clients.
• Support field activities including drilling and well installation projects.
