Job summary

RescueLink is seeking an EMT-1 to provide basic life support for pre-hospital and inter-facility care across Alaska. You will respond to 911 calls, perform patient assessments, and deliver BLS services including CPR, airway management, and AED use under the medical direction of the agency's physician director.

Responsibilities include transporting patients in ambulances, documenting care with ePCR, restocking equipment, and participating in ongoing education and quality reviews.

Qualifications

• Current State of Alaska EMT-1 certification or ability to obtain via NREMT reciprocity within 30/60/90 days of hire.
• Valid Alaska driver’s license with a clean driving record acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Respond to 911 calls, scheduled transports, and inter-facility transfers in a safe, timely manner.
• Provide BLS care including airway management, hemorrhage control, CPR, and AED use.
• Assist with or administer medications within EMT-1 scope per agency protocols.
• Operate ambulances and emergency vehicles under Alaska conditions.
