Job summary

Opti Staffing in Anchorage, Alaska, is seeking a Carpenter to join a construction team on residential and commercial sites. This full-time role offers a pay scale from entry level to journeyman, aligned with experience.

You will read blueprints, frame and install carpentry components, and work with other trades on site. A valid driver's license and ability to lift 50+ lbs are required; standard 8-hour shifts with overtime as needed and benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k).

Qualifications

• Carpentry experience at any level (entry–journeyman).
• Ability to read or learn to read blueprints/building plans.
• Physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in Alaska.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Frame, build, and install structural and finish carpentry (walls, floors, roofs, trim, doors, windows).
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, drywall, and other building materials.
• Install building materials, fixtures, and hardware.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Assist with layout, leveling, and squaring on framing and finish work.
• Inspect and repair damaged framing or structures.
• Work with other trades on job sites.
• Keep the job site clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow OSHA and site safety requirements.
