Job summary

Alyeska Resort is seeking a Director of Banquets to lead the resort's banquet, catering, and event operations. You will guide conferences, weddings, and high-profile events from setup to execution, ensuring guest-centric service and flawless delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of leadership in banquets or F&B, with strong financial acumen and collaborative, hands-on leadership in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive Banquets, Catering, Events, or F&B leadership.
• Strong operational knowledge of banquet, catering and high-volume event service.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Strong financial acumen: budgeting, labor management, forecasting, cost control.
• Excellent communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to manage complex events with exceptional guest service.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily banquet, catering, and event operations with hands-on leadership during setup, service, and breakdown.
• Oversee conferences, weddings, social events, and resort-wide activations.
• Partner with Culinary to ensure menu execution, timing, and presentation meet standards.
• Ensure BEOs are executed accurately via strong interdepartmental communication.
• Develop staffing models, service standards, and procedures for high-volume events.
• Analyze financial performance and adjust operations to maximize revenue and profitability.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing Banquets team.
