Job summary

SES Space & Defense, a part of SES S.A., is seeking an AISR Satellite Operations Technician, Tier 2, onsite from MacDill AFB, FL. You will monitor and support global TDMA/IP satellite networks, ensuring effective operation and timely issue resolution.

The role involves shift work, including weekends and holidays, with a focus on QC and configuration management. The position requires DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and strong networking/SATCOM expertise.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Five years of progressively complex network systems engineering experience.
Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Experience with KuSS Arclight ground hub and air component solutions.
Strong TCP/IP and general networking concepts.
SATCOM/RF concepts.

Responsibilities

Continuously monitor network and space segment performance to provide tier 2 and 3 support.
Resolve customer issues related to broadband IP communication via satellite.
Monitor ViaSat Arclight equipment configurations and network performance in real time.
Prepare reports on network utilization, performance and activity.
Open and track trouble tickets to resolve network or terminal issues.
Provide testing and implementation support for deployed network equipment.
