Job summary

The Aircraft Quality Control Inspector at Amentum ensures airworthiness by meeting 14 CFR Parts 43, 91 and 125, FAA/DOD regulations, OEM instructions, and CBP directives. You will inspect maintenance, repairs, and modifications on aircraft structures, engines and subsystems to ensure safe operation.

You will apply technical expertise to review procedures, approve or reject work, conduct safety inspections, and verify tool calibration and training compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Five years of aircraft maintenance experience.
• Valid A&P license required.
• Valid FAA IA required.
• Ability to obtain a government flight line driver's license.
• US citizenship required for CBP background clearance.
• Ability to read and interpret data.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the work of Aircraft Mechanics performing maintenance, repairs and modifications on aircraft structures, engines, electrical and subsystems.
• Apply technical knowledge to determine proper equipment installation and operation.
• Review and approve procedures for complex repair situations.
• Perform daily safety inspections, logs, and calibration records.
• Coordinate with Customer QA reps on quality matters and final acceptance.
• Maintain and inspect tools, safety, training, and certification records.
• Navigate and interpret technical documentation and blueprints.
