Job summary

Optima Aero USA Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure that all work on aircraft and components complies with Repair Station standards, manufacturer manuals, FARs, and airworthiness requirements.

The role reports to the Quality Manager and supports the team in inspections and documentation. You will verify regulatory adherence, conduct inspections, and help with FAA form completion, training, and approvals.

Qualifications

• Active Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license required or in work authorization.
• IA-FAA certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum 4 years rotorcraft experience, including 2 years as Quality Inspector on rotorcraft.
• Knowledge of manufacturer maintenance manuals (Bell, Airbus, Leonardo) and FARs.
• Experience in a 145 Repair Station environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure airworthiness by verifying all work complies with Repair Station standards, manufacturer manuals, FARs and customer requirements.
• Coordinate and execute regulatory compliance activities, including proper completion of FAA forms (337, 8130-10, 8110).
• Conduct preliminary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspections on rotorcraft articles.
• Research aircraft records, develop status sheets, and ensure proper tagging/identification of parts.
• Assist with Repair Station training, perform weight and balance computations, review work orders, and secure STC or field approvals.
