Job summary

The Tucson Airport Authority seeks an experienced Airfield Operations Manager to oversee continuity of operations at Tucson International Airport (TUS) and Ryan Airfield (RYN) and ensure compliance with FAR Part 139 and related safety standards. You will maintain the Airport Certification Manual, Airport Emergency Plan, and required programs while delivering exceptional service to tenants and the public.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; aviation management preferred.
• Experience at a FAR Part 139 certificated airport or military airport.
• Knowledge of FAR Part 139, ARFF, ICS/NIMS, SMS, and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuity of airside operations at TUS and RYN in compliance with FAR Part 139.
• Inspect runways, taxiways, and aprons; report deficiencies.
• Issue NOTAMs and weather advisories; coordinate with FAA/TSA.
• Maintain FAR Part 139 files and supporting documents.
• Assist in emergency response and drills; train tenants.
• Represent TAA at meetings and coordinate construction projects.
