Job summary

Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. seeks an Airports Construction Representative to monitor airport infrastructure projects, verify quality, and document field activities. You will coordinate material testing, assist in preconstruction meetings, and engage with clients, contractors, and SEH personnel.

CAD experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation may be used for drafting. Some travel to job sites and events is expected.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
Strong experience in the construction field serving as a Construction Project Representative or related role.
Good internal and external communication skills and ability to work independently.
Ability to obtain airport badge including background check.
Must be able to work in various weather conditions and walk/climb on construction sites.
Ability to travel for on-site observations, meetings, and client consultations.
Ability to work overtime as needed for project demands.
MS Office proficiency.
MVR driving record with valid license.

Responsibilities

Observe construction on airport infrastructure projects (runways, taxiways, aprons, lighting).
Verify quality and document field activities; coordinate material testing and quantity measurements.
Prepare for and assist with preconstruction and progress meetings; help with change orders.
Interact with clients, contractors, airport users, agencies, SEH personnel.
CAD production/drafting possible for candidates with AutoCAD or MicroStation.
Assist in proposals, budgets, schedules, and constructability reviews.
Complete cost estimation and quantity takeoffs.
